eh we all forget stuff like that. Doesn't change the picture any though. This is really neat. I like the shading and the red lineart fits perfect. This looks like tablet work...but I could be wrong.

It is good in the way it shows that you have talent and that you've practiced a lot with it, but I do also agree that it could be better.
It's great in the way that it looked like you may have enjoyed drawing it and had fun, but it's not really "touched-up" picture.

yeah. if i wanted to make it better I would have used bezier tool and more shading. If you've seen my devart, I have tryouts for an advanced oekaki with really complicated solid shading. I don't even know how I did it.

Yuuuup. I've already got like three tryouts done for sroa. i've gotten lazy and I don't feel like going all out on a picture, right now.

It's neat how you knew them before they were "celebrities".

Everyone at SROA and SRON look so nice and all, but the tryouts keep me from doing anything. I don't like doing complete pictures. And, as for backgrounds, what backgrounds?

also, i use a mouse and was thinking about getting a tablet, but i don't know if it will help or not. i'd have to get one of the cheaper wacom ones, not a tablet pc, but PLEASE--any insight is greatly appreciated!

Mouses aren't that hard depending on how practiced you are, how steady your hand is, and what kind of mouse you're using.
I prefer using a tablet because using a mouse usually takes longer for me.

Since you're using shipainter what you can do is move what you have to a lower layer and then make it lighter. Then use one of the upper layers to go over the lineart again.

ok, just some information: there's Harpie's Brother, Harpie Lady and Harpie's Pet Dragon.

they're just in baby format. and i added a little Mai influence because she's the real harpie lady! ;D

It's cute. I don't know if you're looking for any critique on it but it might help you practice better if you try drawing a bit larger. It's difficult to fit detail into a character that's drawn so small.
